Lecture provides students with basic information on the history and historical geography of Czechia. Throughout the lecture image, identity and heritage of the present country will be discussed in connection to its historical origins and in the context of long-term historical developments in the region of Central Europe. Major phases of the history of Czechia and driving forces of transformations of its historical landscape will be described.
